About the Study
Educational Technology (ET) is the field of study that examines the process of analyzing, designing, implementing and evaluating the educational environment, learning materials, learners and the learning process in order to improve teaching and learning. Educational technology is important in education because it enables today's teachers to implement new technologies and tools into their classrooms. Teachers can upgrade and improve the student learning of their classroom environments. It enables teachers to engage their students in innovative and equitable ways. Teachers can also expand their network and communicate with other teachers and educators on a national and international scale.
Theoretical knowledge from various disciplines such as communication, education, behavioral science, sociology, artificial intelligence, and e - learning is used to develop educational technology. It includes several domains such as educational psychology, computer-based training, virtual classrooms, and mobile learning, which uses mobile technologies. As a result, there are different aspects to describing educational technology's intellectual and technical development. It is defined as the theory and practice of educational learning approaches. Tools for student and curriculum management, as well as Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) are examples of educational technology for Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Back-office management in educational technology includes training management systems for logistics and financial planning, as well as Learning Record Store (LRS) for learning data storage and analysis. Educational technology as a subject; such courses may be referred to as "computer studies" or "Information and Communications Technology" (ICT).
Educational Technology (ET) is associated with the technological tools and media that helps in the communication, development, and exchange of knowledge. Virtual reality allows for immersive learning. Digital lessons that are personalized for each and every student and online games that teach important information also while showing to students that learning can be fun and interesting. Educational Technology (ET) is classified into three types: synchronous and asynchronous, linear learning, and collaborative learning. The main purpose of Educational Technology is to improve educational quality and the learning process. Most importantly, as it emphasizes effectiveness and efficiency, technology should enhance the teaching and learning process as well as facilitate better performance of educational systems.

E-learning, instructional technology, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education, learning technology, multimedia learning, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL), Computer Based Instruction (CBI), computer-managed instruction, Computer Based Training (CBT), Computer Assisted Instruction or Computer Aided Instruction (CAI), Internet Based Training (IBT), flexible learning, Web Based Training (WBT), online education, Virtual Learning Environments (VLE), m-learning all are examples of educational technology. It provides different materials that are easily accessible. It helps learners to improve their communication skills and performance in school and in the workplace. It provides students with a fun and engaging learning experience. It enables students to connect to the internet at any time and from any location.
